The Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy, or HJHLP, is committed to providing a scholarly forum for the interdisciplinary exploration of the full range of issues in health law and policy.
We are dedicated to publishing the nation's preeminent journal devoted exclusively to health law and policy issues.
The Journal publishes a volume of professional and student-authored pieces each year. The Symposium focuses on emerging and important issues in health care law and policy. The volume also includes professional articles on a variety of topics, as well as student-written case notes and comments.
Prospective authors will find that the student editors of HJHLP are professional, knowledgeable, and sensitive to the need for timely publication. Many of the student editors are also health care professionals, holding degrees of M.D., M.P.H., R.N., and licensed professional counselors.
Meet our Partner, the Health Law & Policy Institute
We are proudly affiliated with the Health Law & Policy Institute at the University of Houston Law Center. HLPI was established in 1978, and is widely regarded as one of the top health law programs in the country.
Institute professors aide our candidates with their topic selections, provide guidance when navigating through complex health codes and regulations, and help and support the editorial board in the management of the Journal.
